Wolves are all about signing young talents and developing them into top starts – and there is word of interest in a highly-rated winger playing in Sweden.
In recent years, Wolves have placed a real emphasis on landing young players with high ceilings.
The Joao Gomes transfer was very successful, as was Rayan Ait-Nouri’s £10 million move from Angers.
Both of these players could very well be sold for huge fees next summer, just like Diogo Jota, Ruben Neves and Pedro Neto all were.
The club are always on the lookout for youngsters who could be worth millions in the years to come, and it looks as though Wolves have now identified another exciting talent who is currently playing his football in Sweden.
Wolves interested in Hammarby ‘sensation’ Bazoumana Toure
It has been reported by the Mirror that Wolves are showing interest in Bazoumana Toure.
Toure has caught the eye in recent times, after moving to Swedish side Hammarby back in March.
Ivorian youngster Toure has made a cracking start to life in Scandinavia, scoring six goals and making three assists for Hammarby.
Wolves are thought to have sent scouts to watch the starlet in action for Hammarby in an Allsvenskan clash with Hacken on Thursday.
Arsenal and Manchester United are also keeping tabs – the Gunners also had scouts in attendance to watch Toure against Hacken.
Hammarby’s sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg acknowledged the interest in Toure – who is valued art around £5 million – earlier this week, admitting scouts have been watching.
He said: “There are a lot of clubs coming to the match against Hacken. We need to plan for a future without him. Then if it happens this winter, next summer or even further than that – I don’t think so, we’ll see. But the longer we get to keep him the better.”
Wolves offer clear pathway for young talents
So Wolves are potentially in for another exciting young talent – and there is surely a good chance of Toure electing to join the club.
Naturally, there is a grand appeal with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United given their status as the biggest clubs in England.
But young talents need to ensure they are going to actually play when it comes to joining clubs in the Premier League.
In recent times, Wolves have shown that there is a clear pathway to the first-team. Gomes was brought in from Flamengo and, after initially being a rotation option, he is now a firmly established Premier League holding midfielder.
It is also mentioned by the Mirror that Brighton sent scouts to watch Toure as well as Wolves and Arsenal.
Potentially, the Seagulls would be Wolves’ biggest competition here, as they have been brilliant at finding hidden gems and turning them into players worth many millions.
But there is surely a good chance for Wolves, who were able to beat Chelsea to the signing of Pedro Lima in the summer after selling their project honestly.
