Chelsea’s transfer business has been pure chaos since the Clearlake takeover of the west London club, and this summer has been no exception.
Nine new signings have been made in the transfer window with 26-year-old Tosin Adarabioyo the oldest out of the lot, with Chelsea again putting a huge emphasis on spending big money on wonderkids who could turn out good in the future.
As for Arsenal, just the one signing has been made this summer in the former of Riccardo Calafiori, with the Gunners still chasing Mikel Merino as Mikel Arteta prepares to challenge for the Premier League title once again.
Yet Chelsea could be about to beat Arsenal to a top player this summer.
Which is why it would be such a hammer blow for the Gunners if Chelsea ended up signing Osimhen, who could now prefer a move to Arsenal considering their status in the Premier League and growing European reputation.
Arsenal can’t allow Osimhen to join Chelsea this summer
Chelsea’s track record with signing strikers in recent years has been well documented as one of the most disappointing transfer streaks in the Premier League, with the Blues yet to really move on from the likes of Didier Drogba and Diego Costa.
And with Osimhen as good as he is, the striker ending up at Chelsea could be another disaster waiting to happen, especially with Arsenal the more ideal club for the Napoli superstar this summer.
With the Gunners in the market for a world-class striker, it makes sense for the north London side to move for Osimhen, who could thrive under Arteta and help Arsenal in their goal of finally winning the Premier League.
