Stronger Together – Kia Backs The Broncos For Another Five Years

Broncos legends and Buck the Horse feature in an iconic new TV commercial launched today, to celebrate the Club’s renewed partnership with Major Partner Kia Australia, through until 2029.

The latest in a series of ads to promote the new Kia Tasman Ute, former Premiership-winning captains Darren Lockyer and Alfie Langer appear in an old-style saloon kitchen as fellow sporting icons attempt to locate Buck in tough terrain in the Tasman.

The collaboration piece is a strong metaphor for the partnership, which was first launched in late 2019, and comes as both brands reaffirm their commitment to Regional Queensland.

The Kia logo will remain front and centre on the Broncos NRL and NRLW on field jerseys.

Brisbane Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy said, “This is a terrific and significant announcement for the Club, on the eve of our 2025 season.

It’s a partnership that has stood the test of what was an unpredictable time when it was first born, but one that has only strengthened over the past 5 years.

“We’ve built a proud relationship that puts fans at the heart of it and we know it will help the Broncos and Kia connect with and inspire even more Queenslanders, in rugby league heartlands.

“We can’t wait to hit the road in the Tasman later this year and visit our Members and fans across the regions.

“There are plenty of synergies between a Bronco and the Tasman – hard working, strong and dependable, which is what I know every player pulling on the jersey this week is striving for.

“We thank Kia Australia for backing us for another five years and look forward to the road ahead, alongside each other.”

Kia Australia CEO Damien Meredith said, “Partnering with a club built on strong community ideals and a drive for excellence, that is both renowned and respected across the Australian sporting landscape is an opportunity we don’t take for granted.

We’re proud and excited to move forward into the next 5 years and build on the strong foundation we’ve already developed with the Broncos.

With plans to tour Regional Queensland alongside Kia, the partnership will also continue to leverage fan engagement opportunities, including the annual Kia Blitz, which brings together the team, fans and dealers from across south-east Queensland.

The Broncos can confirm the 2025 Kia Blitz will be held across two weekends this year, on Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29, with more details to come.
