Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James showed his support for Indiana Fever standout Caitlin Clark ahead of the team’s season opener against the Chicago Sky.

The WNBA showdown, which pitted Clark against Sky star Angel Reese, was one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the 2025 WNBA season. While LeBron wasn’t on hand for the Fever vs. Sky game (he’s recovering from an MCL sprain in his left knee), he was quick to offer praise and encouragement for Clark—and his comments are going viral.

Posting a series of photos of himself with Clark, LeBron wrote: “Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!! @caitlinclark22 🙏🏾💪🏾🫡👑”.

Clark was quick to respond, taking time away from celebrating the Fever’s blowout 93–58 win over Reese’s Sky team. She replied, “The greatest of all time. Thank you 🐐❤️🙏🏻”.

LeBron’s support didn’t stop there. After Clark’s impressive performance, the four-time NBA champion wrote on Twitter, “TRIPLE DUB CC!! Great way to kick off the season! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾”.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the basketball legend’s kind words. One wrote, “Two of the most influential players in basketball,” while another added, “The best player in the NBA and WNBA 🔥”.
