Forward Omari Benjamin has confirmed that he is leaving Arsenal this summer after five years at the club.
Benjamin wasn’t offered a professional contract by the Gunners, with his scholarship deal set to expire at the end of next month.
The Wales youth international signed scholarship terms with Arsenal in 2022 and made 33 appearances for the U18s.
Benjamin scored 18 goals at that level, which included a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur and a strike against West Ham in the FA Youth Cup final in 2023. The youngster also featured for Arsenal at U21 and U19 levels.
After being told he wouldn’t receive a professional deal, Benjamin featured for Everton as a trialist and scored for their U18 side against Tottenham Hotspur.
He subsequently returned to Arsenal and featured at U18 level but will now depart.
