New York Giants 7-round mock draft: Quarterback of the future is found, and the trenches get a makeover

In order for this organization to preserve their jobs after next season, the 2025 NFL Draft class is going to be huge. This team will need to hit on several selections. In a recent 2025 NFL mock draft, the focus was on strengthening the trenches and becoming faster everywhere.

Round 1, Pick 3: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

The Giants are a struggling roster, so taking the best player available is the best recipe right now. Carter is a tremendous athlete who is still developing as a pass rusher. The talent is undeniable, with the talent to become one of the best in the NFL very quickly.

Round 2, Pick 34: Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama

If you want an imposing presence up front, there is nobody better than Booker. He is a massive offensive guard who routinely moves the line of scrimmage in his favor. The Giants could use a bit of attitude injected into the offense.

Round 3, Pick 65: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Milroe could go significantly higher, but his valuation is a little bit all over the place. His slide ends here, where the Giants can hopefully tap into his athleticism and upside as a passer.

Round 3, Pick 99: CJ West, DT, Indiana

There isn’t a bigger riser in the interior defensive line class than West. He began his career at Kent State, but was a tone setter in 2024 for the Hoosiers. West is an impressive player at the point of attack with some underrated movement skills.

Round 4, Pick 105: Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas

While he isn’t the biggest cornerback of all time, Bryant plays with a nasty temperament. That allows some upside for him both on the outside, or from the nickel. Bryant has suddenly become one of the most underrated players in the class.

Round 5, Pick 154: Kaden Prather, WR, Maryland

Prather didn’t take the step forward in 2024 that most people hoped for. He is still a tall pass catcher with impressive long speed. There is clearly still a lot of upside to work with.

Round 7, Pick 219: Hunter Wohler, S, Wisconsin

Wohler is a physical safety with a lot of versatility and upside. While he doesn’t make a ton of plays from depth, he is pretty good in man reps. He also is a very physical tackler who should contribute on special teams.

Round 7, Pick 246: Brandon Adams, CB, UCF

Adams is a longer cornerback with coverage upside. He isn’t ready to compete in 2024, but there is a ceiling to tap into. There is a lot of excitement for the future.
