Mikel Arteta has became an Arsenal legend over the course of his career, both as a player and as a manager.
Following an illustrious career involved with the likes of PSG, Barcelona, Everton, Rangers, and Real Sociedad, the Spaniard made his way to the Emirates Stadium under Arsene Wenger in 2011 for the final five years of his playing days. Thanks to his long list of accomplishments in the footballing world, it is reported by Celebrity Net Worth that Arteta has racked up an impressive fortune of around $25million (£18.8m). He spent 12 years playing in the Premier League with Arsenal and Everton, raking in a reported £75,000 per week for the latter, although he is thought to have taken a wage cut when he made the move to north London.
Arteta also enjoyed a number of lucrative sponsorship deals during his playing days with the likes of Adidas and Puma. It is unknown as to how much he made from these companies, as he has been incredibly private pertaining to his personal finances over the years, instead focusing fully on the beautiful game.
Stellar Arsenal salary
Back in 2020, it was reported that Arteta was earning around £5million per year as Arsenal manager, collecting a cool £20million in total for his four-year deal between 2019 and 2023. However, he signed a brand new three-year contract this year, keeping him tied to the Emirates Stadium until at least 2027.
It is thought that at present, Arteta is earning around £8.3million per year at Arsenal – although no official figures have been confirmed as to his base pay with the club. This works out at around £158,000 per week and puts him as one of the highest-earning managers in the Premier League if correct.
For context, it is said that Guardiola takes home around $20million (£15m) per year at Manchester City, while Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is thought to be on around $9million (£6.7m) per year despite the club’s record-low eighth-place finish in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

Arteta met Lorena Bernal in a nightclub in San Sebastian, Spain back in 2002 – instantly hitting it off before eventually starting to date around two years later. Arteta was playing for Rangers when the two first met, while Bernal was a well-established model and TV personality – appearing on the likes of Chuck and CSI Miami.
She also came from a modelling background, winning Miss Spain in 1999 at the age of just 17. While she was ineligible for the Miss Universe competition due to her age at the time, she went on to land a top-10 finish in the Miss World competition.
