KAI HAVERTZ SENDS MESSAGE TO ARSENAL FANS AFTER BRIGHTON DRAW

Arsenal dropped their first points of the Premier League season against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners took a 1-0 lead through Kai Havertz in the opening half, but they could have easily scored two or three goals.

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were guilty of squandering clear-cut scoring opportunities.

The second half was cagey following Declan Rice’s early sending off. Brighton equalised, but neither club found the winning goal.

The Gunners may feel they dropped points, considering Havertz and Saka missed good chances to score on counter-attacks.

Following the 1-1 draw, Havertz said that he was frustrated with the result, but added that the club will take the positives.

He wrote on X: “Frustrated. We will take the positives and move onto the next one after the international break.”

As Havertz said, there were some positives to carry forward. The German made his third goal contribution of the season.

Saka was equally impressive with his third assist of the campaign. The 22-year-old also scored in the victory over Wolves.

David Raya was once again good between the sticks. He made two crucial saves, but was unable to prevent the goal.

Arsenal are currently third in the league standings with seven points, two behind leaders Manchester City.

The Gunners will face Tottenham Hotspur and City away from home in the Premier League next month.
