Ben Rothenberg reported on his Substack that the woman who heckled Alexander Zverev was met by two uniformed police officers after the incident but avoided an arrest.

As the German tennis star was preparing for his runner-up speech, someone from the Australian Open stands shouted three times, “Australia believes Olga and Brenda” before boos stopped it.

As it was happening, the 27-year-old had a puzzled look on his face.

Of course, those remarks were directed at the accusations that Zverev domestically abused ex-girlfriends Olya Sharypova and Brenda Patea.

The security staff swiftly reacted and the heckler was removed from the stands before the ceremony continued.

Now, according to Rothenberg’s report, the woman in question spoke with authorities but ultimately no arrests were made as she given her paperwork and escorted out of the arena.

How Zverev reacted in his post-match presser?

Since Sharypova never pressed charges, her allegations were only investigated by the ATP, who determined that there was no enough evident to sanction the world No. 2.

Patea took a different approach as she and the German tennis star settled their case last year.

“I believe there are no more accusations. There haven’t been for, what, nine months now,” Zverev said.

“Good for her. I think she was the only one in the stadium who believed anything in that moment.

“If that’s the case, good for her. I think I’ve done everything I can and I’m not about to open that subject again.”

Meanwhile, Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley praised the German for staying calm during the incident and also called out the heckler’s behavior.

“She was disruptive to the players in that instance, to the rest of the fans that were enjoying the rest of the final, rightly so, she should be evicted because we don’t tolerate behavior that is designed to be disruptive and that’s what her behavior was designed to do,” Tiley said.
