Harry Kane sends message to Arsenal ahead of Champions League quarter-final second leg after Bayern Munich delay Bayer Leverkusen title party with Bundesliga win over Koln

Former Tottenham striker Kane was on target in the first leg of that contest, which ended 2-2 at Emirates Stadium. There is all to play for heading into the return date at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday – with a semi-final berth up for grabs.

Kane has 39 goals for Bayern in as many games this season and will fancy his chances of breaking through 40 before the campaign is out. He will be hoping to hit that milestone against foes from north London that he boasts an impressive record against – as the all-time leading scorer in meetings between Spurs and Arsenal.

Kane is certainly ready for the game, while Bayern have returned to winning ways after going three games without success in all competitions. Ahead of a crunch clash with Premier League heavyweights, which comes on the back of a 2-0 victory over Koln that has delayed Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title party, Kane has posted on social media: “Perfect prep for Wednesday!”

The Champions League represents Bayern’s last route to major silverware in 2023-24, with Kane in danger of ending his debut campaign in Germany without elusive honours – making him even more determined to get another one over on Arsenal.
