How Arsenal Have Lined-up Recently
In pre-season so far, manager Mikel Arteta has opted to give his youngsters a chance to showcase their talents. Arsenal have so far faced Bournemouth and Manchester United, with the likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Ayden Heaven featuring prominently. The two teenagers started both games.
Karl Hein has been used in goal and was protected by a defence comprising of Heaven and Jurrien Timber as centre-backs. Ben White has played in his usual right-back position. Myles Lewis-Skelly, who started the Bournemouth game at left-back, was replaced by Oleksandr Zinchenko for the last match.

Arsenal won the tie against Bournemouth through a penalty shoot-out (5-4) after the match ended 1-1 in normal time. Keeper Hein was crucial to the win as he saved two penalty kicks.
In the 2nd friendly, though, Arsenal defeated United 2-1, and the game still went to penalties due to a bizarre rule deployed for the pre-season fixtures. The Red Devils emerged victorious in the shoot-out.

Arsenal Injuries to Consider
Kieran Tierney (hamstring) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) are the only injury concerns for Arsenal. The latter is expected to miss the entire pre-season
David Raya, Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, and Declan Rice have been given an extended holiday due to their participation in the Euro 2024 final. Hence, they will join the squad after the squad returns from America, as will William Saliba who played in the Euro semi-final.
