The Los Angeles Rams have faced nothing but the biggest questions heading into the official NFL offseason. They have made three impactful moves already; the decision to move on from wide receiver, Cooper Kupp. REstructuring Matthew Stafford’s contract, keeping him in place for at least one more season. And signing left tackle Alaric Jackson to a three-year contract.
The Rams will have a lot more work to do to lock down their 2025 roster in free agency and the draft, but according to Gary Klien of the Los Angeles Times, they have made decisions about two players whose futures had been speculated about since the end of the season.
Los Angeles Rams To Keep Tyler Higbee and Rob Havenstein

“McVay said OT Rob Havenstein and TE Tyler Higbee will be back. He said Rams hoped to resolve some of their own pending free agent situations before free agency begins next week.”
Havenstein has been a stalwart presence on the Los Angeles Rams’ offensive line since being drafted in 2015. A consistent and reliable right tackle, he’s been a key contributor to the team’s offensive success, including their Super Bowl LVI victory. In 2024, at 32 years old, Havenstein continued to provide stability and experience, anchoring the line and playing a crucial role in protecting Matthew Stafford. While the Rams’ offense experienced fluctuations, Havenstein’s veteran leadership and consistent performance remained a vital asset throughout the season.
Higbee has been a reliable target in the Rams’ offense since being drafted in 2016. Known for his dependable hands and solid blocking, he’s been a consistent contributor at the tight end position. Higbee’s 2019 season saw a significant breakout, establishing him as a key part of the Rams’ passing game. Higbee continued to be a trusted option for quarterback Matthew Stafford, providing a veteran presence and contributing to the team’s offensive rhythm. While his statistical output might have varied throughout the season, his consistency and reliability as a blocker and pass-catcher remained valued assets for the Rams’ offense.
