Diogo Jota says Arsenal have a £45m player who’s even better than Paulo Dybala

Diogo Jota has made a claim about one of Arsenal’s players and Roma star Paulo Dybala.

The Portuguese striker was speaking to Goal about some of the best players in world football today.

Jota was asked to rank five footballing stars from best to worst, and, interestingly, he placed Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus ahead of Dybala.

Indeed, Jota had Dybala down as the fifth-best player on his list, while he put Jesus just ahead of the Argentine striker.

Diogo Jota says Gabriel Jesus is better than Paulo Dybala

Jota spoke about the £45m Arsenal star and his Argentine counterpart.

“Paolo Dybala?” Jota was askaed.

“Number five,” Jota said.

“Gabriel Jesus?

“Fourth,” Jota said.

What Neymar has said about Gabriel Jesus and Paulo Dybala

It’s interesting to hear that Jota has put Jesus ahead of Dybala.

This isn’t the first time these two players have been compared. In fact, Neymar has previously named the two forwards as a pair of his favourite players in world football.

“Of the new generation, I like (Antoine) Griezmann very much, but I have a great affection for Gabriel Jesus,” Neymar said.

“I love him for how he plays and because we play together in the Selecao and we did at the Rio Olympic Games.

“He has entered the main Selecao very well, he is a boy with a lot of potential.

“I will also say Dybala, the famous Argentinian left-footer. If you leave him alone, he can hurt you. On Wednesday, we [Barcelona] will not be able to leave him any space.”

The fact that Jesus is being spoken about in this way is a testament to his ability, and while there were rumours that Arsenal were looking to sell Jesus this summer, it now looks as though the striker is going to stay at Arsenal.

Jesus and Dybala are two of the best South American exports of the past 10 years, and it’s hard to separate the two in terms of ability.
