Arsenal are looking to move a number of players on for big money this summer and it now looks like Crystal Palace are launching a bid for one star.
The Gunners are looking to bring new players in where they can but there is an acceptance at the club that players also need to be sold on.
A number of Arsenal players are thought to be on the chopping block and Edu and Mikel Arteta are looking to bring in decent fees where they can.
The likes of Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson are wanted men.
Another name who is being linked with a move away is midfielder, Emile Smith Rowe.
And according to Fabrizio Romano, Crystal Palace are set to launch a bid to sign the Gunners star.
Taking to X to provide an update on Smith Rowe, Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that Palace are ready to make a bid for the England man.
Palace’s interest comes amid claims Arsenal are fully expecting more bids for Smith Rowe.
That stance comes after claims Fulham were looking to sign Smith Rowe themselves, albeit they have been knocked back in the first instance.
Despite being lauded as an ‘elite‘ prospect at Arsenal, Smith Rowe has fallen down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.
Injuries, too, haven’t helped his cause and he’s ultimately dropped miles away from the England picture despite being in the squad a few seasons back.
Smith Rowe is thought to be open to moving on and getting regular first-team football as he looks to kickstart his career.
Whether or not Palace will go to the reported £40m that Arsenal want for Smith Rowe, remains to be seen.
