Bayern Munich is on a signing spree, having bought the likes of Michael Olise, Hiroki Ito, and João Palhinha. Next on the list could be a much much younger player — Chido Obi Martin.
The 16-year-old forward is now on the verge of leaving Arsenal, but according to Fabrizio Romano (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Obi Martin was wanted at the London club. Mikel Arteta pushed for him to stay, and so Arsenal improved their offer in order to keep him in a Gunners outfit. This did not work, as Arsenal has confirmed (as reported by Fabrizio) that he will NOT sign a new deal, and will indeed leave as a free agent.
Obi Martin is now looking through his options, and is leaving the door open to possible clubs. Bids from Bayern and Borussia Dortmund could be the potential favorites for Arsenal’s under-18 star to make the move. Manchester United is also reportedly getting serious about snatching up the Danish striker as soon as possible, but Obi Martin will only make his decision once he visits the clubs and learns more about the potential offers.
