Arsenal would demand £169m to sell ‘outstanding’ talent amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain

Arsenal are now facing interest from a number of top European sides for one of Mikel Arteta’s most prized assets in north London.

For years under Arsene Wenger, particularly during the move to the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal were unable to stop their best players from leaving.

Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie all left, taking the opportunity to win silverware elsewhere.

However, partly thanks to Wenger’s excellent stewardship during a difficult financial era for the club, Arteta is not faced with the same issues today.

Arsenal wouldn’t be forced to sell to any Premier League rival and would be well placed to stave off interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for their stars too.

That being said, after his heroics for England at Euro 2024, it seems as if some elite clubs are ready to test Arsenal’s resolve with Bukayo Saka.

According to Caught Offside, all of Bayern Munich, Manchester City, PSG and Real Madrid are interested in the 22-year-old.

And despite only signing a contract extension last summer until 2027, it seems as if talks could begin again.

Arsenal open contract talks with Bukayo Saka to deter Man City interest

The aforementioned report confirms that Saka has never shown a willingness to leave Arsenal – which shouldn’t come as a surprise.

However, the same information states that Man City are long-term admirers of the England winger, who are monitoring his situation.

Caught Offside claim that ‘outstanding‘ Saka is valued at around €200m (£169m) by Arsenal, meaning a move away from the club wouldn’t be deemed realistic at all.

But in truth, should any of the aforementioned clubs come knocking, many Arsenal fans would probably imagine that the club’s asking price – if it even existed, which would much, much more.

The word ‘invaluable’ is often used in football, but that’s exactly what Saka is to Arsenal.

It’s hard to see the forward ever leaving north London on anything but a free transfer.

And with the same report confirming that Arsenal are planning to hold contract talks with Saka after Euro 2024, there shouldn’t be any stress in that regard either.

Arsenal fans can simply sit back and continue to enjoy Saka’s excellence for club and country.

That being said, Micah Richards has just shared his review of Saka’s performance vs Switzerland.
