Arsenal have been urged to make a shock move and sign Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez to help boost their attacking firepower.
Three games without a win in the Premier League has left the Gunners in fourth place and a concerning nine points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.
While Kai Havertz impressed in the early stages of the campaign, the German has scored just once in his last seven games in all competitions.
Combined with the inconsistent displays from Gabriel Jesus, there are many who believe that the club should pursue a marquee attacking signing in January as they seek to revive their title hopes.
One such person is former Arsenal invincible Jeremie Aliadiere who boldly suggested that his former club would be wise to consider mercurial Liverpool striker Nunez to strike some impetus into their front line.
The Uruguayan, who moved to Merseyside for £64million from Benfica in 2022, has scored just two league goals so far this season as he struggles to find a consistent starting berth in Arne Slot’s side.
‘I know he is at Liverpool but I am a massive fan of Darwin Nunez,’ Aliadiere told Football365.
‘Absolutely mad fan of the guy because I love his work ethic, his runs, his determination and I wish we had a player like him at Arsenal.
‘I remember in the summer there were some talks about him coming to Arsenal. That excited me because I’d love to see him with us.
