Arsenal are interested in Feyenoord’s Quilindschy Hartman and he’s keen on the move, but a potential deal is likely on hold for now.
Earlier this week, Mike McGrath reported for The Telegraph that Arsenal were ready to join the race for Feyenoord left-back Quilindschy Hartman, with Gunners scouts showing admiration for the defender.
Hartman is currently injured, with his absence set to extend into next season, but Arsenal are tracking his comeback closely.
The 22-year-old has two years on his contract, and he previously suggested Feyenoord were open to him leaving in the summer, but his injury complicated the situation.
Chelsea are also interested in Hartman, but it’s unlikely either Premier League club makes a move whilst the player is still out of action.
So a move is seemingly on hold for the time being, but The Standard have offered a positive update on a potential eventual transfer to north London.
According to Nick Purewal’s report, Hartman would be keen on a move to Arsenal if the Gunners step up their interest.
As expected, Purewal writes that Hartman’s injury means a transfer is “some way off”. But it seems the player is on Arsenal’s shortlist if and when he leaves his current club.
Hartman made 38 appearances for Feyenoord this season before his knee surgery in early April, turning down Chelsea interest in the January transfer window.
The Dutch international should be back in action in 2025, so the January 2025 window could be the one to watch in this case.
