Arsenal injury news and return dates for PSG: Ben White, Martin Odegaard latest

Arsenal will endeavour to make it second time lucky in the 2024-25 Champions League when they welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Emirates on Tuesday evening.

Mikel Arteta‘s men could only muster a point from a goalless draw against Atalanta BC first up, although they were indebted to David Raya for making an astonishing double save in the second half.

Raya’s heroics maintained Arsenal’s unbeaten record for the season, though, and the Gunners host the French champions on the back of an engrossing 4-2 win over Leicester City in the Premier League.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal’s latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with PSG, who edged out Girona 1-0 in their opening European affair of the season.

Ben White was forced to play through the pain of a knee injury during the 2-2 draw with Manchester City two weekends ago, but the issue has now flared up again. Having missed the clashes with Bolton Wanderers and Leicester, the right-back is a huge doubt for the Champions League.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard was sorely missed in the Gunners’ draw with Atalanta BC, and the Norwegian will also sit out the visit of the French champions due to his ankle issue, which should keep him out until November.

Mikel Merino was initially not expected to be available until after the October international break due to his shoulder fracture, and there is no chance he will be fit for PSG, but Arteta has not ruled out the possibility of the Spaniard making his debut against Southampton next weekend.

Takehiro Tomiyasu is now back in partial training following a pre-season knee injury, although he is slightly behind Merino, so a comeback before the international hiatus is unlikely.
