Arsenal injury list and return dates for Nottingham Forest: Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Leandro Trossard

Arsenal will look to end an four-game winless run in the Premier League when they welcome Nottingham Forest to the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

Mikel Arteta‘s side have fallen nine points behind Liverpool in the title race and find themselves fourth after failing to get over the line against Chelsea last time out, drawing 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.

With the festive period on the horizon though, plenty of points are up for grabs, and Arteta will hope to recall many of his important first-team players from injury in the coming weeks.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal’s latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Forest, who have made an excellent start to the season, sitting level on points with the Gunners after 11 matches.

Arsenal suffered a setback over the international break when it was revealed that defender Ben White was forced to undergo knee surgery, and therefore ruling him out until 2025.

Bukayo Saka limped off late on in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea shortly before the international break, and was subsequently one of the nine players who pulled out of England duty, but it would be a surprise if the Arsenal winger is unable to make a return here.

Riccardo Calafiori injured his knee in the Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk at the end of October, and manager Arteta revealed at the time he will be out for a few weeks, so after not featuring for Italy during the international break, the 22-year-old is closing in on a return to the side.

Declan Rice passed a very late fitness test to face Chelsea last time out, after not making the trip to Italy to face Inter Milan, but after playing through the pain with a suspected broken toe and pulling out of the England squad, the midfielder remains a doubt for this one.

Takehiro Tomiyasu was another Arsenal player who did join up with his respective national team during the recent break, having now spent over six weeks on the sidelines, but a return has been touted for the Japanese defender before the end of the month.

Kieran Tierney has been absent since suffering an injury against Switzerland for Scotland at Euro 2024, but Arteta has revealed in recent weeks that the left-back is getting closer to a return, and he has been back in training recently.
