Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah set for Crystal Palace medical
The player in question is Eddie Nketiah, who is nearing a move from the Gunners to Crystal Palace.
Sky Sports have provided the latest on the Nketiah to Palace state of play, including how much Arsenal are expected to get for the sale.
The report, on the Sky Sports live transfer page, says the Gunners forward is set to have medical at Palace today ahead of his permanent move from N5.
The fee is £25million up front plus £5million in performance-related add-ons, and personal terms have been agreed in principle, added the report.
Nketiah set to shine at London rival
And so, it looks like Nketiah’s Arsenal journey is about to come to an end.
On the one hand, it’s a shame that a player who came through the academy and has been a first-teamer for years is now set to leave.
On the other, Nketiah is an ‘unbelievable’ player – in Gabriel Jesus’ words – who is good enough to be starting regularly in the Premier League.
Admittedly, the Arsenal project has moved on at lightning-quick pace, and now they’re fighting for the title regularly, standards are sky-high.
However, Nketiah will no doubt be a major asset for Palace, who have had a difficult start to the season with consecutive league defeats.
