Arsenal had been cruising after going a goal up early in their Champions League tie at the Emirates through Bukayo Saka before a moment of madness at the back and a Harry Kane penalty turned the first leg around.

William Saliba fouled Leroy Sane in the box to give Kane the chance to put Bayern ahead with Raya already making up his mind for him before he took the shot.

As the England international strolled towards the ball, the Spaniard dived to his right, giving Kane the opportunity to just roll it in the other side.

The goal saw Kane score his 15th goal against Arsenal in 20 appearances, stunning the Emirates crowd where no Bayern fans were allowed in.

The equaliser came from freak circumstances as well as a long punt forward from Bayern which should have been easily dealt with.

But Raya inexplicably came running out of his box while Gabriel looked to pass it back only to see his goalkeeper alongside him.

The Brazilian then got rid but his loose pass was intercepted by Leroy Sane, who fed Leon Goretzka who passed it on to Gnabry, with the Germany international striking the ball first time to equalise against his former club.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Andy Townsend was full of criticism for the Arsenal goalkeeper and insisted he should have not have rushed out.

He said live on air: “I don’t think the goalkeeper needed to come that far.
