The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off one of the biggest trades in league history when they shipped out Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in return for Luka Doncic.
That move caught everyone in the NBA space by surprise but the dust has started to settle. The Lakers are thrilled to have Doncic in the fold next to LeBron James while Davis is down in Texas with the Mavs.
Davis has been with the Mavs for less than a month but his latest post on Instagram shows that he’s already missing Los Angeles.
On Thursday, Davis posted a picture of the weather in Dallas and it was 18 degrees. His caption said, “Aye come on now.”

Anthony Davis Seems to Be Missing the Weather in L.A.
While he didn’t name the Lakers or Los Angeles, Davis is already complaining about the cold weather in Texas. And that’s something he didn’t have to deal with in Los Angeles for the last six years.
While it’s cold in Texas, it’s projected to be at least 70 degrees with clear skies in Los Angeles over the next week. The weather is one of the best parts of playing for the Lakers and Davis is already missing that part.
To make matters worse for Davis, he’s currently sidelined with a left adductor strain. He only managed to play in one game for the Mavs thus far but looked dominant in that opening. Across 31 minutes on Feb. 8 against the Houston Rockets, Davis finished 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks before leaving the game with the injury.
He already looked like a commanding presence on the court but has to sit on the sideline for the next couple of weeks to rest up. Rehabbing with the weather that cold outside isn’t ideal and certainly has Davis reminiscing on his days in L.A.
