One of Arsenal’s players who could leave in the summer is drawing a keen interest from Chelsea’s recruitment department, according to a report this week.
The summer transfer window is now getting closer by the day as we go through to the final month of the football season. The focus will soon turn to the transfer window and the business that some of the major clubs will be doing.
Chelsea have spent big in the last few windows but they are likely to be looking to bring more players in again in the summer window. It isn’t forecast to be as crazy as previous windows recently, but there certainly are a few positions that might be looked at, depending on player sales.
Will one of those positions be goalkeeper?
Well, neither Robert Sanchez or Djordje Petrovic have really proved to be a fully confident and elite level option so far, even though there has been bright signs at times from both, especially Petrovic.
So this could lead the club to potentially looking at a new stopper going forward, and according to The Daily Mail, they are looking at Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale as one possible target.
They report that Ramsdale has interest from Chelsea, as well as other Premier League clubs and clubs abroad.
Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has previously said that Ramsdale is better than both Petrovic and Sanchez!

I think Ramsdale is a decent goalkeeper for sure, but there are some doubts from me. Would he be the elite level goalkeeper that we need to help move us back towards a tittle challenging team again? I’m not so sure.
But having said that, I also think that he gets harsh and unfair criticism and is a much better all round goalkeeper than some give him credit for. Whether he is the right choice for Chelsea right now or not though, is the doubts that I would have here.
