Arsenal are now working in the final 48 hours of this summer’s transfer window to find themselves any late opportunities.
It could well be a case of reacting to any potential departures from north London as Mikel Arteta has now been able to bring in two players.
Riccardo Calafiori has now been joined by the recent signing of Mikel Merino at Arsenal having just landed earlier this week.
But for the Gunners, there is still room for improvement with Arsenal in the market for another forward before the end of play on Friday evening.
However, there are also expected to be some departures and there is one which is now beginning to pick up some speed.
If some considerable Arsenal exits are to be sanctioned this week, then there could well be a requirement for a replacement to be found.
Arsenal readying their move for ‘excellent’ player
It is now suggested that Aaron Ramsdale is preparing his Arsenal exit with Southampton interested in signing the backup goalkeeper
And this is an area of the pitch which Arsenal are going to have to react to with a need to provide adequate backup for David Raya.
One player who has been identified as a potential option for Arsenal is Joan Garcia and a move could now be set to progress quick
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are now prepared to make their move for Garcia over the next 24 hours.
This comes after Southampton and Arsenal were able to reach an agreement for the signing of Ramsdale on Wednesday evening.
The Gunners are going to be able to recoup around £25m for Ramsdale this summer which provides them with some money to play with.
However, Arsenal are going to have to pay around £30m now for the ‘excellent’ Garcia given how late it is in the window.
Arsenal leaving it late to land Joan Garcia
The Espanyol goalkeeper was in action on Wednesday night where he was able to keep a clean sheet against Atletico Madrid.
Personal terms between Arsenal and Garcia have already been agreed, so that is not going to be an issue.
But looking to take a top flight side’s goalkeeper with just hours remaining in the transfer window is certainly a risky ploy.
And now Arsenal are expecting £25m to come in for Ramsdale, they have left themselves vulnerable to being taken for every penny they can afford by Espanyol.
An interesting few hours are ahead of th Gunners.
