Mikel Arteta’s side have made significant incomings and outgoings. From Arsenal signing Riccardo Calafiori to the departure of fan favourite Emile Smith Rowe.
But there are now expected to be two more exits from Arsenal involving attacking players who have struggled to become first-team starters under Arteta.
Eddie Nketiah medical at Crystal Palace
HITC sources have confirmed that Crystal Palace are working hard to tie up their deal for Eddie Nketiah as they fear rival offers for the Arsenal striker.
Nottingham Forest pulled away from a deal over the weekend as they pursued Santiago Gimenez, but that deal has faltered, whilst West Ham and Brentford are still considering a late striker addition this week.
With that in mind, HITC understands that Palace do not want their move to drag out.
They agreed terms over the weekend with Nketiah and terms with Arsenal are agreed in principle on a deal that will see them pay £30 million. Palace even hope that Nketiah will undergo a medical on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old has been on the bench for his side’s opening Premier League matches, including Arsenal’s win at Villa Park on Saturday.
HITC can also confirm that another Arsenal player heading for a medical is Fabio Vieira. HITC revealed last week a deal was agreed with Porto that will see the Portuguese international return to his former club – but they were waiting on Francisco Conceicao’s move to Juventus.
Conceicao completed his medical in Turin and joined the Serie A giants and so Porto are now pushing ahead with their Vieira deal.
The 24-year-old moved to the Emirates in 2022 in the hope that he could challenge and push Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard for a starting spot.
But he has struggled to make his mark, scoring only three goals and supplying nine assists from his 49 matches in all competitions.
