Arsenal U21s have commenced pre-season training, with Ethan Nwaneri and new signing Lucas Nygaard amongst the youngsters involved, as reported by the club’s official website.
Nwaneri has been given number 53 for this season, which suggests he has yet to be officially promoted to the first-team squad.
Charlie Patino, Mika Biereth, Salah-Eddine and Charles Sagoe Jr were amongst the players back from loan who featured in the session.
Omar Rekik, who didn’t play on loan at Servette in the second half of last season, also took part in the session.
A group of players who have been offered professional contracts were involved in the session, with Maldini Kacurri, Ismeal Kabia, Harrison Dudziak and Osman Kamara all involved, which suggests they have accepted the club’s offer.
Romari Forde, who has also been offered a professional contract, was involved in the session.
Elian Quesada-Thorn has been offered a new deal and also trained.
Other players involved include Ismail Oulad M’Hand, Josh Robinson, Zane Monlouis, Jack Henry-Francis, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji and Jimi Gower.
Defender Ayden Heaven was involved in the session despite still technically being an U18 player.
Brooke Norton-Cuffy, who spent last season on loan at Millwall, wasn’t pictured.
