Confirmed line-ups: Brighton vs Arsenal – Rice and Saka start

Arsenal need a win to go back to the top of the Premier League when we take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium this evening.

Mikel Arteta rotated his squad for the 2-0 win over Luton Town in midweek but some key players are back in the starting eleven today.

David Raya keeps goal once again while the back four is made up of Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Oleksandr Zinchenko which means Jacub Kiwior must settle for a place on the bench again.

Declan Rice was given a breather in midweek but he’s recalled to start in midfield along with captain Martin Odegaard. Thomas Partey made his first start since October on Wednesday night but he drops out with Jorginho recalled.

Emile Smith Rowe impressed upon his return to the starting eleven in midweek but he drops to the bench.

Bukayo Saka missed Arsenal’s win over Luton after picking up a knock at Man City last weekend. However, the 22-year-old is passed fit to return to the starting line-up this evening so Reiss Nelson makes way.

Leandro Trossard also drops to the bench as Gabriel Jesus returns on the left flank. Kai Havertz keeps his place up front so Gabriel Martinelli has to settle for a place among the substitutes.

These are the teams:

Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Jorginho, Rice, Odegaard; Saka, Havertz, Jesus.

Subs: Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Partey, Smith Rowe, Vieira, Trossard, Martinelli, Nketiah

Verbruggen; Lamptey, Van Hecke, Dunk, Estupinan; Gross, Baleba; Adingra, Moder, Enciso; Welbeck
