Benjamin Sesko ‘allowed to leave’ for new price amid Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd interest

Benjamin Sesko is ‘allowed to leave’ RB Leipzig in 2025 amid interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United – and the player has a new price tag.

That’s according to new reports in Germany after it was announced that Sesko had agreed a new deal with RB Leipzig and won’t leave in the summer of 2024.

RB Leipzig, though, are keen to maximise profits on their highly-rated 21-year-old forward and will happily sell him next summer ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

German outlet Bild claim that RB Leipzig have slapped a new €75m (£63m) price tag on the Slovenia international, who is soon set to face England at Euro 2024.

Will Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd wait for Benjamin Sesko?

It remains to be seen what Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United will do in regards to Benjamin Sesko not being available for a move this summer.

The trio of Premier League clubs may decide to pursue alternative transfer targets rather than wait around for Sesko.

Ivan Toney, Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyokeres, Dominic Solanke and Serhou Guirassy are all different options that the three English sides may decide to refocus on.

Why is Benjamin Sesko so highly rated?

Benjamin Sesko has conjured up 18 goals and two assists across 42 games for RB Leipzig so far.

While his goal record speaks for itself, it is Sesko’s startling physical characteristics that catch the eye, which has seen the Slovenian compared to Erling Haaland.

‘Such comparisons motivate me and give me energy,’ Sesko previously said when asked about the City striker. ‘They do not represent pressure. I will listen and learn so I can be even better than he is.’

Why is Benjamin Sesko staying at RB Leipzig this summer?

‘I had a good first year at RB Leipzig and am incredibly happy to be here,’ Sesko told the RB Leipzig

‘Team, club, city, fans – the overall package is simply outstanding for me. The early contract extension was therefore the logical next step for me.

‘I feel a lot of trust and appreciation throughout the club and that is crucial for being able to perform to my full potential. In the second half of the season in particular, I was able to give something back with my goals.

‘We have a team with great potential and a balanced mix of young and experienced players. I’m really looking forward to taking the next steps with this team.’
