Fabrizio Romano claims a Saudi Pro League club have opened talks over a deal to sign an Arsenal transfer target.
That’s largely down to Manchester City’s dominance but Arteta will be aware of the need to add quality to bridge the gap.
One position that is expected to be a priority for Arsenal this summer is a new back-up goalkeeper. Aaron Ramsdale looks set to head out the door, with the Gunners looking for at least £50 million for the Englishman.
Now, one of Arsenal’s targets to replace Ramsdale is receiving concrete interest from Saudi Pro League outfit Al Nassr
Al Nassr make move to sign Arsenal transfer target
A host of names have already been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal search for a new David Raya understudy.
One that raised plenty of eyebrows was Wojciech Szczesny, who reportedly features on Arsenal’s list of goalkeeper targets.
The Poland international left the Gunners back in 2017 after a mixed spell under legendary boss Arsene Wenger.
He’s since gone on to perform well for Juventus, becoming a regular at the Allianz Stadium and being lauded as a ‘world-class’ goalkeeper.
But now Szczesny looks set to receive an offer for Al Nassr, with the Saudi club in talks with Juventus over a €18 million (£15.3 million) deal.
According to Romano, the decision will be down to the former Arsenal man should Juve and Al Nassr strike a deal.
