Jose Mourinho already facing transfer problem in new job as key player ‘agrees terms’ with Arsenal

Jose Mourinho looks set to take the helm at Fenerbahce, but he’s already facing a transfer conundrum with reports suggesting Arsenal are eyeing a move for full-back Ferdi Kadioglu.

The 61-year-old Portuguese tactician has reportedly agreed to a two-year stint with the Turkish heavyweights, stepping into a club still reeling from their Super Lig title loss to arch-rivals Galatasaray.

But Mourinho may lose one of his key players almost immediately should Arsenal get their wish. Reports suggest Kadioglu’s impressive performances have put him high on Mikel Arteta’s list of targets, while it’s even been claimed that Arsenal have already agreed terms over a move.

Since his transfer from NEC Nijmegen in 2018, Kadioglu has racked up 199 appearances for Fenerbahce, contributing 17 goals and 22 assists. Gunners fans may have the chance to cast their eye over him this summer, with the 24-year-old having been named in Turkey’s Euro 2024 squad.
