Arsenal now edging closer to selling ‘unbelievable’ attacker this week

Arsenal could now be moving closer to their first summer departure as Edu Gaspar begins the club’s moderate summer overhaul.

A lot of movement is expected at the Emirates, with several of Mikel Arteta’s players appearing to be in a precarious position.

Aaron Ramsdale is the player who immediately springs to mind, someone who is recognised as too good to sit on the sidelines.

The same could be said for Emile Smith Rowe, even if his departure doesn’t quite appear as likely as Ramsdale’s.

Smith Rowe was once a N5 ‘starboy’ alongside Bukayo Saka, but now sits on par with Fabio Vieira in the club’s summer plans.

It’s reported that one of the pair could be sold, depending on the opportunities that come Arsenal’s way.

Of course, there’s then the talent returning from loan, the likes of Albert Sambi Lokonga who was superb for Luton Town when fit this season.

And whilst Lokonga looks set to leave, perhaps the same can now be said for goal-scoring sensation Mika Biereth.

Arsenal will hold talks with Sturm Graz over deal to sell 15-goal Mika Biereth

The 21-year-old netted 15 times during his loans at Motherwell and Sturm Graz last season, a campaign that properly marked the start of his senior career.

And according to The Standard, Sturm Graz are now aiming to buy Biereth permanently, and are set to hold talks with Arsenal this week.

Biereth scored nine goals and provided four assists in his 22 games for the Austria outfit, with three of those goals coming in Europe.

Sturm Graz will face competition from Sheffield Wednesday for any deal, who are keen to try the London-born Dane in the Championship.

Despite his ‘unbelievable’ scoring last season, it seems unlikely that Biereth will have a future with the Arteta’s senior side, the gap is simply too big right now.

But perhaps Biereth won’t be the only striker to leave Arsenal in the coming months, with both Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah’s futures looking a little uncertain.

Arsenal are thought to want a new striker, someone like Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.

And with Kai Havertz now considered in that role as a false nine, it would be interesting to see how Arsenal responded to any approach for either Jesus or Nketiah.

All that being said, TBR Football can exclusively share what Newcastle have told other Arsenal target Bruno Guimaraes about his future.
