The Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Famer is not as heroic as fans thought just a few days ago.

‘I Did Nothing!’ Steelers Legend Bradshaw Speaks Out on Airplane Story

There was a celebrity roast held in Pittsburgh that was all about Steelers Hall of Fame defensive back Mel Blount, and many of his former teammates were in attendance.

One of them was legendary quarterback Terry Bradshaw, but he had some troubles getting there. On his flight to Pittsburgh from Dallas, there was reportedly a malfunction with the door that trapped the passengers inside the aircraft.

According to CBS News, Bradshaw broke down the door himself and freed everyone that was stuck on the plane. But the Hall of Fame field general took to Instagram on Friday to tell his side of the story on the whole situation.

“Just to set the record straight… I did nothing to open the door on the plane! The maintenance crew had it open in 15 min,” Bradshaw wrote on his story.

A few passengers were even interviewed by CBS News after they got off the plane and embellished the fact that Bradshaw had been the one to get the door open after 30 minutes or so.

“I mean honestly I was just ready to get off the flight, but the guy next to me had the joke that they should have (Bradshaw) bust down the door, and I was like, ‘Well, maybe he could a few years ago.’ So I’m definitely eating my words,” passenger Selah Holland said.

While it would have been very cool for something like that to have actually happened, Bradshaw is still loved in the city of Pittsburgh for all he did for the Steelers.
