£60m Premier League star has decided he’d rather sign for Liverpool than Arsenal this summer

Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuit of a Premier League star as he would rather move to Anfield than Arsenal.

The Arne Slot era is underway and Reds fans are really excited to see what the Dutchman will do after succeeding Jurgen Klopp as the club’s new boss.

Pre-season games will take place later in July, but all eyes now are on the transfer window. Liverpool are expected to sign a few new players, and there is some good news coming their way now.

One extremely talented player is said to favour a move to the red half of Merseyside over Arsenal.

Eberechi Eze prefers Liverpool move over Arsenal for one reason

Eberechi Eze is expected to be a wanted man after Euro 2024.

The Crystal Palace star is one of the most exciting players to watch in the Premier League. He is an incredible talent and it’s only a matter of time before he leaves the Eagles for a bigger club.

Tottenham have been linked with a move to sign Eze more than any other club, but they will not be short of competition in the coming weeks.

Football Transfers reveal that Arsenal and Liverpool are keen to sign the Englishman too.

The report claims that the Gunners made contact with Eze’s agents earlier in July ‘to gauge his interest in a move to the Emirates’ in this window.

However, since those talks, Arsenal have not made any contact.

The report then reveals that Liverpool have also ‘expressed a concrete interest’ in Eze, but they will only make a move to sign him if Luis Diaz leaves the club.

As for Eze’s preference, the report claims that the England international actually favours a move to Liverpool over Arsenal this summer.

That’s because Eze feels he will not be a regular starter under Mikel Arteta. However, he thinks he can nail down a place at Liverpool if he goes there.

Eze has a release clause in his Crystal Palace contract worth an initial £60 million plus additional add-ons worth in the region of £8 million (Daily Mail).
